Create a comic book page based on a historical fiction story of your choice. Select a story and re-write the ending to some extent. I chose to highlight a very specific story from the art world, the inspiration behind Carel Fabritius' painting, "The Goldfinch", as popularized by Donna Tartt's novel of the same name. I wanted to create a tale in which a pet bird kept in the studio had an otherworldly vision of the tragedy that was about to occur. I chose to tell the story through a series of "comic strips" that resembled more of a film storyboard.
